Manufacture, repair or sale of of anyn weight or Measure without valid license issued by the Controller of Legal Metrology is prohibited under sec 23 of Legal Metrology Act, 2009. Penality for violation of this requirement is provided under section ’45’ and ’46’ of this Act.

Any one who is willing to do the aforesaid activities should apply for License in prescribed form available in DOWNLOAD, Menu, accompanied by requisite fees.

Process descriptionStep 1: Application through online along with supporting documents to Assistant Controller (Flying Squad) of concerned District after the payment of Licence fee.

Step2: Verification of application, supporting documents and other requirements through online and physical inspection of the premise  for the purpose of Licence by Assistant controller and forwarding of application to Controller, Legal Metrology.

Step3: Issue of Licence by Controller, Legal Metrology through online.  Applicant can download the licence
